Note: X-Tend is an exercise product, and best used as a conditioning tool, prior to taking part in any sport, activity, or exercise routine. It is important to note that extensor muscles are generally weaker than flexor muscles, so please consult with a health care professional before starting any type of exercise program. Stop use immediately and consult with a health care professional if you feel any pain or discomfort while using the product.

It is equally important to begin all exercises slowly and with few repetitions. Hold each position for 3-5 seconds, then slowly relax fingers and return to starting position. Over time, increase repetitions to 3 sets of 10 (30 repetitions total). You may find X-Tend easier to use by holding X-Tend with your non-exercising hand for additional stability.

X-TEND EXCERISES

The following exercises are not tailored to any specific sport or activity, but instead are designed to maintain and improve joint range of motion, dexterity, coordination, flexibility, strength, endurance, circulation and general health of your fingers, hand, wrist and/or forearm. X-Tend comes equipped hook and loop strips that can be used for extra-thick or swollen fingers as well as to use as a thumb adapter. For best results, exercise thumb independently from fingers, not while exercising other fingers at the same time.

Depending on the exercise and/or the resistance level, you may need to hold X-Tend with your non-exercising hand for additional stability.

X-TEND
INSTRUCTIONS

Place hand thru the wide elastic band toward the backside of X-Tend so that the top of X-Tend lines up across the crease at the base of your fingers. Place each finger into a finger cup so the finger is snug, but comfortable.

Note: If fingers are too small, turn finger cup around so that the finger enters the narrow portion of the finger cup for better grip. If the small finger still slips, follow instructions for using one of the hook/loop strips to secure finger as noted.

THUMB
Exercises

To use for thumb exercises, turn X-Tend upside down and place hand thru the wide elastic band toward the backside of X-Tend unit so that the bottom of the X-Tend product lines up with the crease at the base of your fingers. The thumb should be on the side of unit and resting comfortably in the webbing between the base of the thumb and the index (first) finger.

How to apply
Hook & Loop Adapters for extra thick or Swollen Fingers

X-Tend comes equipped with hook and loop strips to use as a thumb adapter for those that cannot fit their thumb or fingers in the finger cups. If the thumb or finger is too thick or wide to fit in the finger cups, insert one end of hook/loop strip through the wider opening of the finger cup, and then, through smaller opening and fasten. Place thumb or finger inside and adjust length, using hook and loop material until the adapter is snug, but comfortable.
