VARIABLE TENSION EXERCISER FOR THUMB AND/OR INDIVIDUAL FINGERS
* Patent Pending
When operating a smartphone, the thumb and finger muscles are making many complex motions, repeatedly over the course of the day. Texting Thumb is a result of excessive stress on the thumbs or fingers due to the repetitive motion of texting, typing and general use of smartphones. When your thumb performs a variety of motions with the use of smartphones, it can put a lot of repetitive stress on the thumb joint, muscles and tendons attached to it, resulting in what is sometimes referred to as Texting Thumb.
Healthy thumbs, fingers & wrists means improved range of motion, endurance, and dexterity. Only VariGrip UNO has the ability to exercise and improve your range of motion using both flexion and extension exercises and conditioning.
The following exercises are recommended for improving range of motion, dexterity and endurance for texting and smartphone use:
Hold the UNO, under the stabilizer in the web space between your ring and small fingers. Place the bottom of the first thumb (IP) joint on the flexion plunger and bend (flex) ONLY the 2nd joint (MP) of the thumb. Keep the IP joint straight. Hold 3-5 seconds, then relax. Repeat 10 times slowly, or as instructed by a healthcare professional.
VariGrip™ UNO is the only variable resistance exerciser for thumb & individual fingers. The UNO features patented variable resistance technology, providing customized resistance for both flexion and extension of the thumb or any individual finger, thus improving strength, endurance, circulation and range of motion more effectively.
The patent-pending design is ideal for rehab/therapy, as well as for improved range of motion for gaming, texting, office/mouse finger pain, and the general health of fingers and/thumbs. Adjustable resistance (from extra-light thru extra-heavy), provides customized resistance for thumb and/or finger conditioning, and gradual progression based on your needs.
